Considering the longstanding knowledge that we have a debt problem and a jobs problem and an infrastructure problem and a poverty problem and a prison overpopulation problem and an education failure problem and a health care cost overrun problem and a foreign backlash to our military operations problem.. all at the same time, perhaps it would be possible to resolve multiple things at once by multi tasking. Except, of course, it is clear that our leaders are incapable of solving problems, and that is the only actual problem. Our leaders are not leaders; they are arrogant, self-serving, fools.
Jobs, poverty and infrastructure crumbling.. could there be a solution that remedies all three of these just looking us straight in the face? Debt Problems and a military empire that creates more enemies than it defeats… hmmm what could be the solution there? Health care overruns and a private insurance trust, while also paying taxes into medicare, medicaid, politicians’ insurance, civil servants’ insurance, SCHIPP and CHIP… perhaps there is an obvious way to simplify?
But our so called leaders do not seem to care about solutions. All they appear to be interested in is defeating the other team in political gamesmanship while the ship of state crashes upon the rocks due to their lack of guidance. Which of course means we have no leaders, only fools, ostriches, who will stick their heads in the sand and believe they can continue on this path without consequences. Somehow.
It does not take a genius to see the inevitable conclusion. We will go broke. The populace will lose faith in their government. For an example see the Soviet Union. It is not a matter of math at this moment. We could easily afford to have our social programs, stimulus projects, and get the budget under control with a reasonable set of taxes and spending reforms. The problem isn’t a lack of potential solutions. The problem is a government filled with assholes who care more about their egos than accomplishing what needs to be done.
