Apparently someone is attempting to use social media and market pressure to force socialist reform upon Apple. They, anonymously, created a Facebook page which calls for the "like" button to register as a petition/pledge to boycott Apple if they do not reform their manufacturing labor practices by the end of the year. (2012 presumably)

As much as we enjoy using Apple's many products, we can not justify continuing to support the exploitation of workers in order to enjoy a luxury item.

So, we want to inform Apple that their customers will be buying no more Apple products unless they institute the following reforms in all of their international plants by year's end.
1) Overtime pay after 8 hours in a shift.
2) Voluntary compliance with US safety codes, worldwide.

Those who have added their name and/or "like" to this page are current Apple customers who have agreed to this planned boycott.

We do not believe these requests are unreasonable in detail or timetable. All we are asking is that you treat the people who build your products with the same respect as those who invent them. As both are equally necessary to the products existence.
